Gone, but not forgotten

My deepest apologies for falling off the face of the planet. It seems that things got a little extra busy around here the last few months and something had to give. Sorry it was this blog, but I'm happy to be back. Let me explain.

My sweet hubby is in full time school. We have three kids. One of those kids is a competitive athlete. That athlete kid has competitions which requires us to drive all over the place every weekend which doesn't leave much time to do other things. So, well... I'm tired.

Some new things to catch you up on: I started the GAPS diet around 6 weeks ago. It's an incredible tool to help heal gut issues/candida problems along with all sorts of psychological problems. The book, "Gut and Psychology Syndrome" by Dr. Natasha Campbell McBride, is a fascinating read. I strongly recommend it to anyone having difficulty dealing with emotional or physical issues that just won't resolve. I will post more on this later.

We're starting to settle into a warm summer now. It was blazing hot here so I had our youngest out on the deck making spearmint/lemon balm water with me. We just mashed up a big pitcher of fresh mint and lemon balm leaves with some pounded lemon juice. You could sweeten this with a bit of stevia if you like, but we just drank ours as is. It was so refreshing!
